Georgia Public Broadcasting announced this morning that they will soon be broadcasting in the Atlanta market. Beginning in June, the GPB program schedule will ruin from 5:00am to 7:00pm on Georgia State University station WRAS 88.5 FM. +
Student programming will continue from 7pm and overnight.
Until now, Atlanta was the only Top 10 market not to have midday public radio news and information programming. WABE, which has been the sole NPR service in the market, airs a mixed format with NPR news magazines and classical music. Both organizations also run public TV stations in Atlanta.
