WFMT and PRX announced today that all of WFMT's syndicated programming will move to PRX on July 1. The Chicago Business Journal
reported on the deal today and an interview with Tony Macaluso,
WFMT Radio Network Director of Syndication.
.... Macaluso said the new PRX deal, with its web-based set-up rather than satellite, will enable WFMT to keep the fees it charges stations for programming low and affordable.
WFMT is a major producer of syndicated classical programming and also features folk, jazz and spoken word programming. Macaluso was cited saying that the deal "
will enable WFMT to more nimbly expand its reach even further into new Chinese markets, as well as additional outlets in Europe and Latin America."
