Based on robust system feedback, NPR revised the previously announced terms for use of its news magazines. The specific limits on the amount of time stations may "cover" in the Morning Edition and All Things Considered have become "best practices recommendations". Stations who expect to routinely exceed the recommended time limits are asked to notify NPR and engage in a "good faith conversation before making this a regular practice".
The changes eliminate the waiver process and monitoring which had previously been necessary. As announced earlier, the new magazine clocks will be implemented on November 17.
