Boston Public Radio, WGBH's midday news show is expanding.
Come September, the show, which is hosted by Jim Braude and Margery Eagan, will start at 11 a.m. and run to 2 p.m. It now begins at noon. To accommodate the change:
- The Takeaway will start at 10 a.m. instead of 11 a.m.
- and WGBH will drop The Diane Rehm Show, which now airs at 10 a.m.
“BPR [Boston Public Radio] has evolved into a wonderful expression of what we strive to do on the radio station overall,” WGBH radio’s General Manager Phil Redo, told The Boston Globe. “It offers a combination of local, national, and global topics, smart conversations, deeper analysis, local voices, and direct access to local opinion leaders, newsmakers, and our own neighbors."
