Banff Center to Take to Airwaves

The Banff Centre in Alberta, Canada will launch two new radio stations next week.

Set to go live at 8 a.m. (MST) Monday are Banff Centre Radio on 101.1FM in English and 103.3FM in French. The stations will air stories about mountain culture in Banff National Park. Banff Centre Radio will also be available online.

Banff Centre Radio 101 will host a number of original programs custom created for the station and hosted by members of the Bow Valley community. Programs are centered on mountain culture and cover varying topics including art, politics, ecology, indigenous culture, environment, local history, science, sport, and health and wellness. Radio Banff Centre 103 is a French-language tourism information service.

The Banff Centre bills itself as "the largest arts and creativity incubator on the planet."
