Results of the 2014 NPR Board of Directors election were announced today and Michael Crane, Director of Wisconsin Public Radio and Mike Savage, GM of WBAA W. Lafayette, IN will be joining the board. KNPR's Flo Rogers and KUOW's Caryn Mathes were re-elected to second terms.
According to AllAccess:
SAVAGE is believed to be the first board member elected after being placed on the ballot by a written petition rather than being picked by the board's selection committee.
Public members Patricia Diaz and Paul Hagga were also re-elected. Hagga recently acted as NPR's interm CEO during the recruitment process which ended in the hiring of Jarl Mohn.
NFCB's Sally Kane was also elected to the Distribution (DI) Committee.
