Public radio stations have a new tool to help compile and curate video for their communities. Created by the Worcester, MA non-profit Participatory Culture Foundation (PCF), Miro Community is an easy-to-use, open-source platform that allows stations and others to gather videos about a topic or community into one website, regardless of where the videos are hosted. The project is funded by the Knight Foundation.
The PCF says it will co-launch sites with WNYC-New York and WDET- Detroit. They also seek more public media partners elsewhere.
Sample site from Floyd County, VA.
